The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is going to conduct JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) (Main) 2015, previously known as AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination). Description of AIEEE Exam 2015 :

Examination’s Name- AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) 2015 or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) (Main) 2015

Age Block- Aspirants who fall under the category of General / OBC should have been born on or after 01/10/1990 and aspirants who fall under the category of SC / ST / Ph should have been born on or after 01/10/1985.

Educational Requirement- Contenders applying for the given examination should be class 12th pass in the year 2013 or 2014; contenders who are going to appear for class 12th exam in 2015 are also eligible to apply.

Examination Pattern- JEE (Main) 2015 or AIEEE 2015 comprises of two papers. Paper-1 is for admission in BE / B.Tech courses and Paper-2 is for admission in B.Planning / B.Arch. courses Duration of each paper will be three hours and objective type questions will be asked. Paper-1 can be attempted either by offline (pen and paper) mode or by online (computer based) mode, whereas Paper-2 can only be attempted by offline (pen and paper) mode. Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Each paper will be divided into three sections.

(i) Paper-1 : Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
(ii) Paper-2 : Aptitude Test, Mathematics and Drawing

Examination Syllabus- Syllabus of examination is discussed below :

1. Physics : Law of Motion, Work, Kinematics, Rational Motion, Energy and Power, etc.

2. Mathematics : Sets, Relations, Complex Numbers and Quadratics Equations, Functions, Integral Calculus, etc.

3. Chemistry : Chemical Bonding, Chemical Kinetics, States of Matter, Surface Chemistry, etc.
4. Aptitude Test : Awareness of Persons, materials, places, buildings, Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability, etc.

Registration Charges- General / OBC category contenders applying for Paper-1 (offline) have to pay Rs.1000 (for boys) and Rs.500 (for girls). For more details regarding application fee refer to the official notification.

Method of Applying :

Eligible candidates can apply online through JEE (Main)’s official web portal : jeemain.nic.in . Aspirants should visit the website and click on ‘Apply for JEE (Main)-2015’ button and fill all the required details in the online application form. Applicants must upload scanned copy of signature and photograph while filling the online application form. After submitting the application contenders should print hard copy of the application for future use.
