CEED Exam 2013-14
CEED an
acronym for Common Entrance Examination for Design
is the organized at India level to fill up the seats of colleges who are
imparting education in the Fashion Designing Areas. The college which
administered the CEED Exam is IIT Mumbai that performs under the HR Development
Ministry of Indian Government. The latest notification has been out and
registration is going on, students can read the details of CEED Exam 2014 in
following sections and apply for the same before the last date.

Last Date to Apply for CEED Exam: 10th September, 2013
CEED Exam Date: 1st
December, 2013(Sunday)
Admit Card Sharing: 1st
November, 2013
Result Available: 3rd
January, 2014(after 10am)
Academic Record of Candidate:
Students who have completed four yrs degree programme in the streams
like Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Fine Arts or its equivalent.
Those with professional work experience of minimum one year after completing
G.D. Art (Five Yrs Duration post Class 10th)
OR Post Graduation Degree in Computer Application, Arts, and
Science can also apply.
Diploma holders who have pursued 4yrs in CEPT or Other Design Course
such as NID are also free to apply.
GATE Score Card holders are also free to apply for the exam.
Important Note:
Those who have done only Graduation comprising three yrs are not
entitled to apply for the CEED Exam.
Age Requirement:
There is no age
boundary and attempt limits for CEED Exam.
Exam Pattern:
CEED Examination Paper will consist of 2 parts that is Section 1 and
Section 2.
Section1 is preliminary online test that duration will be 1hour.
Section 2 is
main test which constitutes questions related to Hand Writing and Design. The
duration is 2hrs for this paper.
Section 2 paper sheets
of only those candidates will be checked who qualifies in Section 1 phase.
While short listing the candidates for the admission, the marks of Section 2
paper will be counted.
Paper mode only will be in English language.
Examination Cost (Non Refundable):
Students (Boys)
of Unreserved and Other Backward Classes need to deposit the amount Rs2000/-
while other categories’ students such as Scheduled Tribe, Girls, Physically
Disabled and Scheduled Caste need to pay Rs 1000/-.
Route to Apply for the CEED Exam:
Applicants of
the CEED Exam must submit the Online Applications by visiting the official
website. There they need to fill the details accurately and correctly along
with uploading their photo and sign of prescribed size at the proper space.
Submit the form only when all the steps have been correctly executed and
verified.
Exam Syllabus of CEED 2014:
Drawing Skills: The test will
check the candidate’s creative power
in drawing people in distant or
immediate environment and also to imagine various places and objects.
Visual Perception & Creative Ability Test: the test will
assess the comprehension and
summarization ability of student in English language and how they can express
thoughts and ideas, questions related to written communication may also be
asked.
Design Aptitude: This includes
questions like find, selection and development
of new products/situations present in our day to day life and thus deducing
inferences over which drawing wil be made.
