Specifics of the Examination :
Name of the Post- Maternal and Child Health Officer
Total Number of Posts- 89 Vacancies
Age Bracket- Aspirants applying for the given position should not have completed 30 years of age as on 01-07-2015.
Emolument Details- Rs.9,300/- to Rs.34,800/- plus Rs.4,700/- Grade Pay will be the pay scale offered to selected applicants.
Academic Necessities- Applicants must possess B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree or B.Sc. (Public Health Nurse) Degree and must possess Certificate of registration under the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Act, 1926.
Selection Methodology- Written Examination and Oral Test will be the criteria for recruitment.
Pattern of Examination-
The written examination will be divided into 2 parts, i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. Objective type questions will be asked in the examination. Paper-I will be of 3 hours and will carry 300 marks. 200 questions of Nursing (Degree Standard) will be asked in Paper-I.
Paper-II will be of 2 hours and will carry 200 marks. The questions paper will be divided into 3 parts with total 200 questions. It is given below :
1). General Studies : 100 questions
2). General Studies (Degree Standard) : 75 questions
3). Aptitude Mental Ability (SSLC Standard) : 25 questions
Oral Test or Interview will carry 70 marks. There are total marks will be 570 out of which 171 is the minimum qualifying marks SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCM’s and 228 is the minimum qualifying marks for other categories.
Cost of Application- Examination fee is Rs.175 for all categories and Rs.50 for categories claiming exemption. Examination fee should be paid either through online mode (Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card) or offline mode (Post Office / India Bank).
Application Procedure :
Eligible aspirants can apply online through the website : tnpsc.gov.in or tnpscexamns.net . Soft copy of necessary documents must be uploaded by the candidates and after making payment of the application fee aspirants must submit the online application form. Hard copy of the submitted application must be printed for future use.
