Exam Name: West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test
Educational Background:
Candidate should have possessed the Education
Degree/ Diploma with min percentage of marks from the recognized college or
institute.
Age Needed: The age of the applying candidate should be
in between the 18 years to 40 years. The
relaxation in the upper age is granted by the Board to the reserved classes
candidates.

There is no negative marking for attempting the wrong
answer.
Candidate can apply either for Paper 1 or Paper 2 of both
the papers as per their eligibility.
Qualifying Criteria:
Candidates have to qualify the written test conducted by the Board with minimum
qualifying marks. The certificates to the successful candidates will be issued
afterwards.
Call Letter for the Exam:
Candidate will issue call letter before 15 days of the
exam. If any candidate does not get the call letter, he/she may inform the
Board prior the exam date.

The notification regarding the Test is published on the
Board website and in the leading newspaper. Candidate can apply for the exam by
referring the official portal of the Board and filing the online application
form. Candidates can also get the application form from the authorized post
