Name of the Examination- CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) 2015
Educational Requirement-
1. For Class I to V (Primary Stage) : Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary with 45 per cent marks and Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002 OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and Bachelors of Elementary Education (Special Education) OR Graduation degree and Diploma in Elementary Education.
2. For Class VI to VIII (Elementary Stage) : Graduation degree and Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation degree with 50 per cent marks and B.Ed. OR Graduation degree with 45 per cent marks and B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and Bachelors in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. or BA / B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation degree with 50 per cent marks and B.Ed. (Special Education)
Pattern of Examination- CTET consists of two papers, Paper-I (Classes I to V) and Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII). The questions asked will be Multiple Choice Questions and each question caries one mark. There are is no negative marking. Paper-I is for aspirants who wish to be teachers of classes I to V and Paper-II is for aspirants who wish to be teachers of classes VI to VIII. Aspirants who wish to be teachers of both levels need to appear for both the papers. Each paper contains 150 questions.
1. Paper-I :
1. Child Development & Pedagogy : 30 questions
2. Language I: 30 questions
3. Language II : 30 questions
4. Mathematics : 30 questions
5. Environmental Studies : 30 questions
2. Paper-II :
1. Child Development & Pedagogy : 30 questions
2. Language I : 30 questions
3. Language II : 30 questions
4. For Mathematics and Science Teacher (Mathematics and Science) : 60 questions
5. For Social Studies / Social Science : 60 questions
6. For any other Teacher (either 4 or 5)
Registration Charges-
Examination fee is Rs.600 for any one paper and Rs.1000 for both the papers. SC / ST / PWD aspirants have to pay Rs.300 for any one paper and Rs.500 for both the papers. Examination fee must be paid by means of Challan in in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi OR by Debit Card / Credit Card.
Application Methodology :
Aspirants can apply online through CTET’s official website : ctet.nic.in . After visiting the website applicants should click on the link ‘Apply For CTET-FEB 2015’ and fill the online application form. Soft copy of signature and latest passport size photograph should be uploaded and payment of application fee should be made. After filling the details of application fee contenders must submit the online application form and print a hard copy of the same for future use.
