Eligibility Requirements of CAT Exam:
Educational Criteria:
The candidates must have
passes Graduation with 50% marks atleast.
The candidates of reserved classes will have relaxation of 5% in marks.
Those sitting in final year of their degree programme can also take this exam
provided they will be able to produce their mark-sheet at the time of
counseling.
Age Criteria: There is no age bar for the CAT Exam.
Selection Method:
The
candidates have to clear online exam, group discussion and personal interview
rounds so as to get admission in any B-school. It is at the discretion of the
college to include any other rounds such as presentation, essay writing, group
tasks/activities etc so as to shortlist the candidates for interview.
Exam Pattern of CAT-2014:
There will be written exam
of online nature. The written test will be comprised of Verbal Ability, Logical
& Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation.
Total Questions of Exam: 60
Total Duration of Exam: 2hrs 20 minutes
Presence of Negative Marking: Yes
There is a fixed time slot
to attempt each section and if this time gets over, the candidates will be
navigated to next section automatically.
Application Procedure:
The applications will be submitted
by means of online mode and the registration link is made available on CATIIM
site. The probable months of application registration is August/September.
There is no other mode of submitting application.

1. Other Backward Class: 27%
2. Scheduled Class: 15%
3. Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
4. Person with Disability: 3%
CAT Exam Syllabus:
1. Logical & Analytical Reasoning: Graphs, Coding and
decoding, Puzzles, Arguments, Statements and Assumptions, & Syllogisms Etc.
2. Verbal Ability: Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Verbal Reasoning.
3. Data Interpretation: Data Sufficiency and Data
Interpretation, Graphs
4. Quantitative Ability: Arithmetic, Geometry, and
Algebra portions.
Admit Card Download:
The applicants can download
Admit Card for the exam from the CAT site by entering CAT Registration Number,
Password/DOB details. The Admit Card should be either saved or taken printout
so as to being on the date of online exam with valid Identity Proof.
