Description of MAT Exam 2015 :
Name of the Examination- MAT (Management Aptitude Test)
Organization Conducting the Examination- All India Management Association (AIMA)
Courses Offered- Masters of Business Administration (MBA) / Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
Academic Requirement- Contenders who are willing to apply for MAT should have obtained Graduate Degree in any stream from a renowned Indian University / College or should be appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree examination (final year students should be able to bring their results at the time of final admission).
Pattern of Examination- Aspirants can appear for the MAT either in offline mode or in online mode. Entrance Examination is conducted in both Paper Based mode and in Computer Based mode. The question paper is divided in to 5 sections and the duration of examination is 2 hours 30 minutes. Negative marking is applicable i.e. one fourth marks per question will be deducted for every wrong answer. The paper comprises of 200 questions divided into 5 sections which are given as under-
1. Language Comprehension : 40 questions
2. Mathematical Skills / Quants : 40 questions
3. Data Analysis and Data Sufficiency : 40 questions
4. Intelligence and Cultural Reasoning : 40 questions
5. Indian and Global Environment : 40 questions
Selection Criteria- Selection of aspirants will be based on the scores obtained by them in the examination.
Cost of Application- Rs.1200 has to be paid as application fee either through Demand Draft favouring “All India Management Association” payable at Delhi from any scheduled banks or through Debit / Credit Card / Internet Banking.
