Admission Criteria in Pondicherry University:
The
admission in the university and affiliated institutions are taken place through
conducting common admission test which comprised of the questions of concerned
level i.e. if candidate has applied for PG programme, the questions will be
from UG level and so on. The admission is made final by issuing the common
merit list in which the candidates have options to either join university or
its affiliated colleges/institutions.
Manner to Apply for Pondicherry University:
There are
basically three ways to apply for the university’s course programmes. The
candidates wish to apply for the programmes should avail any of the modes in

Application Form & Prospectus obtained via Post:
The candidates can collect Application Form by
sending Bank Challan and self addressed envelope of dimension 32X25 cm and
postal stamp Rs.90/- at address “The Deputy Registrar, (Academic II),
Pondicherry University, R. v. Nagar, Kalapet, Puducherry 605 014”. On top of envelope “Request for application
form for admission .... (Course name)" should be written in superscribed
manner.
Application Form & Prospectus obtained via In Person:
The candidates can obtain application form by personally
visiting the university address and deposit the requisite charges of
application form.
Application Form & Prospectus obtained via Online:
The online application facility is also made available by
the university and through this way; candidates can submit their applications via official portal of Pondicherry
University. There is no need to submit the printout copy of the application
form.
Application Cost:
The
candidates belonging to General and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe
categories have to pay INR 50/- while other categories have to pay INR 100/- by
means of Challan Form paid in bank. No fee for the candidates who belong to
Physically Disabled class.
