candidates for the Faculty Posts in the different departments of the

1. Assistant Professor
For Arabic, Chemistry, Economics, Hindi, Library &
Information Science, Malayalam, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Statistics,
Zoology
2. Director:
For Academic Staff College, College Development Council
3. Deputy Director:
For Physical Education
Educational Background:
Applicants must have fair educational background securing
at least 55% at Post graduate in the concerned level from the university
recognized by UGC. In addition, candidate should have qualified NET or SLET
exam if applying for Assistant Professor Post. PhD degree and at least 10 yrs
of teaching experience and well known scholar for the Director Post and
Doctorate degree in Physical Education with min. 55% marks for the post of
Deputy Director.
Age Band:
Applicants should not be more than 40yrs of age for the
post of Assistant Professor. The age group for the Director post is 40 to 50yrs
while for the Deputy Director; the age group is 35 yrs to 45 yrs as on January
01, 2013. The age grace is granted to the candidates of Scheduled Tribe,
Scheduled Caste and Other reserved classes.
Charges to Pay:
Those who are interested in the post can deposit the
application fee through DD or IPO payable to the Finance Officer, University of
Calicut (at SBT, Calicut University Branch). The charges need to pay by the
candidates for the Assistant Professor is Rs 400/- while for Director and Deputy
Director, the cost is Rs 600 and Rs 500 respectively.

The complete application form must be reached along with the
necessary credentials such as Date of Birth, Academic Details, Caste, Teaching
Experience Etc, in six sets and Demand Draft on the following address: Registrar,
University of Calicut on or before 15/January/2014 till 17hrs and 15 days is
relaxed for the candidates living out of India.
