Job Profile:
1. Research Assistant under Finance (Budget) Estt Dept
2. Assistant Publicity Officer under Finance Dept
3. Special Officer (Ahom Studies) in the Directorate of
Historical and Antiquarian Studies
Bar on Age:
The minimum age required for the post is
21yrs while the maximum age should be equal to 38yrs with respect to 1st
of January, 2014. The relaxation in the maximum age of five years will be
granted to the candidates of Scheduled Caste/Tribe.
Academic Qualification:
Applicants should have completed BA/B.Sc/B.
Com from the recognized college for applying to Post 1. Mass Communication Degree or three years of
job experience is required for Post 2. It is required that person should have
completed Master Degree in History and Ahom Tai diploma from the recognized
place for the Post 3.
Registration Money:
The persons applying for the job should
enclose Treasury Challan of amount Rs.5/- (2.50 for the candidates belong to
Scheduled Caste/Tribe). The fee should be deposited via proper mode before last
date of application receipt.
Selection Criteria:
Those persons who fulfill the eligibility
conditions for the respective positions will be intimated to attend Written
Exam. Those persons who qualify the written test will be invited for personal
interview round. The preliminary shortlisting of the candidates can be done
through assessing their career and academic background.

The candidates who are interested in the
post can obtain application form from Issue & Receipt Section of the Assam
Public Service Commission, Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 by giving
written request addressing to the Deputy Secretary, Assam Public Service
Commission stating clearly the name of the post and Department, by 4 PM during
office time or the same can be obtained from the official website of APSC.
Application Process:
The applications will be accepted only in
prescribed Proforma furnishing all details and particulars and enclosing the
mandatory testimonials and certificates pertaining to support the information
filled in application form. Send this in sealed envelope addressing to Commission’s
office not later than 29th of April, 2014. The list of the
shortlisted candidates will be disclosed by the commission on its official
website.
