Eligibility Standards:

Candidates should have completed or appearing in the B.Ed/Special Education after Graduation with minimum of 50% or Class 12th plus degree in Graduation ( any discipline) and Education degree/diploma.

Eligibility Parameter:

Candidates will be considered TET qualified if they pass the Written Test conducted by BSEB. Candidates can apply either Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both the papers.


Pattern of Bihar TET-2014

For Paper 1 (1st to 5th Class)

Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Marks), Language 1 (30 Marks), Language 2 (30 Marks), Environmental Studies (30 Marks), and Mathematics (30 Marks)

For Paper 1 (1st to 5th Class)

Language 1 (30 Marks), Language 2 (30 Marks), Child Development and Pedagogy (30 Marks), Mathematics or Science OR Social Studies, Sanskrit or Urdu or Hindi or English OR Home Science/ Physical Education or any other teacher (60 Marks)

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 90

Language Development Pedagogy:  Acquisition and Learning, Listening role and speaking, Principles of language Teaching, Critical aspect of grammar, Remedial Teaching, teaching challenges in classroom , to evaluate proficiency in language comprehension, material of teaching learning, Language Skills, Language Comprehension: Reading unseen passages, verbal ability, Grammar, inference .

Environmental Studies :

Basic Primary and Elementary level EVS fundamentals, Pedagogical Issues: EVS Concept & scope , Environmental Education & Environmental Studies,  Presenting concepts Approaches, Importance  of  Environmental Studies  and Integrated Environmental Studies,  Learning Principles, Activities, Scope & Relation to Science & Social Science Material of Teaching , Aids, Experimentation , Practical Work.
