Delhi introduced a teacher eligibility test for the
recruitment of the teachers in government and private schools.

Eligibility
criteria:
For the teachers post
for class I to V:
Individuals with the 50 % marks in senior secondary or in
last year of diploma in elementary education as per related to NCTE.
Individuals with the 50 % marks in senior secondary or in
last year of diploma in elementary education.
For the teachers post
for class VI to VIII:
Individuals must be graduated or in last year of diploma
through the elementary education.
Individual with 50% marks in B.Ed (Bachelor of education)
can apply for the post.
Individuals in 45% marks in B.Ed as per related to NCTE can
apply for the teacher post.
Pattern of the
examination:
The test will be of entrance test which contain the
objective questions.
There will be total 150 objective choice questions.
Each question carries 1 mark each.
There will be three papers:
Paper -1 will be conducted for those who have applied for
the teachers post from the class one to fifth.
Paper -2 will be conducted for those who have applied for
the teachers post from the class sixth to eighth.
Paper -3 will be conducted for those who had applied for the
teachers post from the class one to eighth.
For the teachers post
from class 1 to 5th:
There will be 30 questions of 30 marks each from the fields
containing:
Child development and Pedagogy.
Language -1
Language-2
Mathematics
Environmental studies.
For the teachers post
from class 6th to 8th:
There will be 30
questions of 30 marks each from the field as:
Child development and Pedagogy.
Language -1
Language-2
For mathematics and science teacher and social science
teacher, there will be 60 questions of 60 marks each.
