The Common
Law Admission Test or CLAT is conducted for admitting candidates in 14 National
Law Schools (NLUs). Candidates can pursue Post graduation or Under graduation

CLAT Entrance Exam 2014-15:
For UG courses, the sections in the paper are:
1. English
including Comprehension (40 marks)
2. Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)
(20 marks)
3. General
Knowledge/ Current Affairs (50 marks)
4. Logical Reasoning (40 marks)
5. Legal
Aptitude (50 marks)
Total Marks: 200
Total Time: 120 minutes
Negative Marking: 1/4th
For PG courses, the sections in the paper are:
1. Long
Essay Type Descriptive Questions (100 Marks)
2. Multiple
Type Questions (50 Marks)
Total Marks: 150
Total Time: 120 minutes
Negative Marking: 1/4th
Candidates
have to pass the respective entrance tests for getting admission in LLB and LLM
programmes. On the basis of their choice filled in the application form and the
marks secured by them at test will be taken into account for preparing the
merit list.
CLAT Counselling Process for 2014-15:
The University
will publish the result for CLAT Exam along with list of candidates’ names who
have to remit fee Rs 50, 000 (adjustable amount) so as to make themselves
eligible against the seats available in the colleges. This fee has to be
submitted in CLAT office within the stipulated time period. The list of the
waiting candidates will also be published in case the selected candidates fail
to take admission in time.
It is to
mention here that only after depositing the requisite amount, candidate’s names
will be published on CLAT official website and thereby they have to respective
allotted university at the said date along with requisite credentials for
verifying the documents.
