Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs) conducts
the examination for the ACIO (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) - Grade
II/Executive Examination every year.

Total Time Allotted for both the
Papers: 100 minutes
Pay Structure: Rs 9300 to Rs 34800 with Grade Pay Rs 4200
Syllabus of Exam:
1. Comprehension: In this section, candidates’ basic
understanding over the English language will be judged.
2. General Awareness/General
Knowledge: Current
Affairs, Science, Business, Research, Politics, Banking, Economy Etc. sections
will be covered in this section.
3. Reasoning: Similarities and Differences, Space
Visualization, Discriminating Observation, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment,
Relationship Concepts, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Arithmetical Number
Series, Non-Verbal Series, Figure Classification, Etc
4. Mathematical Ability: Decimals and Fractions and Relationship
between Numbers, Number Systems, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Computation
of Whole Numbers, Percentages, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Simple &
Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Ratio and Time, Mensuration, Time
and Distance, Use of Tables and Graphs, , Time and Work, Etc.

for making preparation for the exam such as KIRAN PRAKASHAN, ARIHANT
PUBLICATION etc. candidates should buy any of the books or any other books
which constitutes the comprehensive and sufficient questions for practicing
purpose.
It is worth mentioning here, if candidate has to make
their concepts clear in Mathematical Ability section, in that case they should
refer NCERT books till class 10th or RS Agrawal (reference book).
