Pattern of the exam
in SSC:
SSC exam is based on
the entrance test followed by the interview.
SSC entrance test
includes the following:
General Intelligence:
It includes both verbal and non verbal questions. It comprises of the
following analogies, similarities and
differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving,
analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination,
observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure
classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and
decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.
General Awareness:
It includes the fields form the History, Culture, Geography,
economic scene, General polity and scientific research etc.
Second Paper includes
the fields:
Mathematics: It
includes the following : number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals
and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical
operations, percentage, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss,
discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and
time etc.
The entrance examination will contain all objective type
questions.
The first paper and the second paper will be of 100 marks.
The duration of the examination is 2 hours.
Qualified candidates will be invited for an interview.
Interview will include mock test, panel interview ,group
discussion etc.
